Anthony Tammaro, 83, of 825 Whiporwill Drive, Port Orange, FL. passed away Feb. 17, 2008 in Halifax Hospital, Port Orange. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann Connolly Tammaro and was a former resident of 51 Mead St., New Haven. Mr. Tammaro was born in Cusano Mutri, Province of Benevento, Italy on April 25, 1924, son of the late Luciano and Giovannina Petrillo Tammaro. He came to this country at the age of 12. He worked as a machinist for Pratt Whitney Aircraft until his retirement 20 years ago. Prior to that, he worked as a short order cook in several area restaurants. He also was a cook while serving in the US Army during World War II. He is survived by a son, Anthony W. Tammaro of Port Orange, FL.; a brother, Luciano (Rosemarie)Tammaro Jr. of Orange; and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Gabriel Tammaro.
