Life began for Anthony Steele on September 30, 1957 in Courtland. AL to Gunese Steele. God called Anthony to a new life on October 13, 2022, at the North Alabama Specialty Hospital in Athens, Alabama. Anthony accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church in Courtland, Alabama. He attended Courtland High School then later moved to Decatur, Alabama.
Anthony was a loving, caring, devoted companion, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by: two siblings, Celestine Steele and Hilton Steele.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted mother, Gunese Steele; father, Charles Dale Pointer; children, Antonio Sykes, Anthony Sykes and Shannon Sykes siblings, Willie Steele, Jacqueline Hampton and Angela Miller; aunts, Johnnie McLin and Roceile King; devoted niece, nephew and cousin, Shilan Woods, Keithan Steele and RaShonda Thompson; grandchildren, Austin, Antoliyah, Emajin and Angel; a loving, caring and devoted companion, Helena Jones; a host of cousins, nephews, friends and other relatives,
