Anthony R. Alesandro, 79, of Lavallette, NJ died on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Anthony was born in Somerville, NJ. Raised in Manville NJ and attended Manville High School. He lived in Bridgewater, NJ for 48 years while summering in Lavallette, NJ in 1985 and then moving there in 2013. He worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber as a supervisor in the forklift division out of New Brunswick, NJ.
Anthony was naturally gifted in many ways. He was extremely knowledgeable and self-taught in the restoration of antique cars as well as construction. He personally built their house in Lavallette where they currently reside. He was also an avid car enthusiast and restorer. A few of the many notable cars he personally restored and sold are a rare ’68 yellow KR convertible Shelby’, a ‘68 red Cobra Jet’, and ‘53 Corvette’.
Anthony is predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Mildred Alesandro, brothers Nicholas, James, and sister Arlene. His sister-in-law Jeanne, wife of brother Nicholas, resides in Albany NY.
Surviving is his loving wife Patricia Alesandro of Lavallette, NJ; his children Mark Alesandro and his wife Lisa of Raritan, NJ and Stacy Proodian and her husband James of Red Bank, NJ; and his eight Grandchildren- Michael, Matthew, Gemma, Hannah, Sophia, James-Daniel, Ben and Luke.
