Anthony Paul Donald Broadhurst, age 67, of Fairfield, beloved son of the late Isobel (Cavanaugh) Broadhurst and John Anthony Broadhurst, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, Tony had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. He resided for many years at the Kennedy Center group home, Broadhurst Manor. He was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School. Tony was very involved for nearly 60 years with the Special Olympics where he proudly served as an Ambassador to the International World Games when they were held in Connecticut in 1995. He excelled in swimming but also competed in track and golf. He enjoyed participating in the Kennedy Center Auxiliary Sunday Bowling League. He was a participant in the Saturday Drop-in group, the FAARH Program, the Learn by Doing program and the Day in the Sun and Night with the Star programs sponsored through the Agape Society. He received his Roman Catholic Sacraments via the Faith Express Religious program at St.
