Anthony Parks, 80, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away November 28, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer and also a stroke. He was born January 26, 1942, in Richmond, Kentucky to Durwood Parks and Edna Smith Courtney. Tony served in the United States Army from 1960-1963. He was a lifelong University of Kentucky Wildcats fan, an avid Colts watcher, and enjoyed the Nascar series. Tony is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda Parks; daughter Shannon Jenkins and husband Scott; his grandchildren Isaiah Jenkins “Bear”, Jarrod Carter, Ashley Brooks, and Courtney Pickett; brother-in-law Jerry Johnson; and nieces and nephews Joshua Johnson (LeeAnna), Teresa Blevins; great nieces and nephews Tristin Aztor, Avia Aztor, and Heather Jackson; five great grandchildren and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in laws Eugene and Virginia Lemrick; daughter Sandra Parks Brooks; sister Joyce Bumgardner; sister-in-law Paula Johnson, and one great grandchild.
