Anthony “Tony” Nusdeo, 74 of 277 Great Oak Rd., Orange died peacefully at his home on Feb. 15, 2010 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Teresa DeGioia Nusdeo. Mr. Nusdeo was born in New Haven on May 10, 1935, son of the late John & Mary Fanelli Nusdeo. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a painting contractor and served in the US Army. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, John Nusdeo of West Haven, Anthony Nusdeo of Greensboro, N.C., Marla Nusdeo Doheny of Madison and Michael Nusdeo of Orange. Anthony will be greatly missed by his son-in-law, Peter Doheny; his daughters-in-law, Mary & Julie Nusdeo; and by the joys of his life, his 11 grandchildren, Daniel, Anthony, Lindsey, Bridget, Patrick, Peter, Annie, Kevin, Matthew, Sean & Ellie. He is also survived by a brother, Nicholas Nusdeu of East Haven; two sisters, JoAnne Esposito of Hamden & Anne Marie Russo of Milford; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Dominick Nusdeu and Frank Nusdeo, and four sisters, Anna Talnose, Lucille Angelo, Carmel Montano and Theresa Nusdeu.
