Anthony was born to Alvin Louis and Linda Pearl Boyd Brackins on November 7, 1970 in Lawrence County, Alabama.  On Friday, December 20, 2013, he passed gently away from this life in Moulton, Alabama.    He confessed Christ at an early age at Byler Road Church of Christ.  After his marriage to Mirriam Miller, he united with Bridge Builders Church International under the leadership of Pastors Darrius and Alesia Crayton in 2004.

Mr. Boyd received his formal education in the Lawrence County School System and was a graduate of Lawrence County High School Class of 1989.

“Big Dog” had a love for sports, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide).  Some of his greatest hobbies were fishing and horseback riding.  He loved people and most certainly his family and many friends.  He was the type of person who would help anyone and he had a heart of gold.  He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hattie Gibson Boyd, George and Cora Brackins.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Alvin Brackins of Moulton and Linda Boyd Brackins of Courtland; three sons, Anthony Reshod, Myles Jawan and Christian Nehemiah Boyd all of Athens; one sister, Balisa Boyd; two brothers, Tyron and Timothy Boyd; grandfather, Luther Boyd all of Moulton; seven aunts, Irene (A.C.) Cox, Lorene Hopkins, Lula Mae (Ricky) Baldwin, Geraldine Howell, Mildred Lee, Joyce Taylor, Hayzett (Lucion) Echols; ten uncles, Donnie, Richard, Clyde, Billy Ray (Sonya), Cecil and James Keith Boyd, George (Valon) Brackins, Alvin (Linda) Brackins, Robert T. Pointer and R.D. Pointer; one great aunt, Nadine Lee; one special friend, Lisa Shankle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.
