Anthony Michlig, 83,  passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 in Kalispell, Montana.

Tony and and his wife Deone moved to Anchorage Alaska in 1951 and he had a great run as a contractor of over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hanging out at their cabin on Big Lake, Alaska. Upon retirement, they moved back to Laona, Wisconsin and remodeled the house on the Michlig family farm where there were gardens to be tended and deer in need of daily feeding. Using his dad’s recipe, Tony made the best maple syrup.

In 2014, Tony and Deone packed up all their earthly possessions and Effie the cat to move to Kalispell, Montana to be near their two sons. At their new residence, Buffalo Hills Terrace, they made many new friends including some there originally from Alaska. Small world!

He is preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Elfrieda Michlig and his brothers, Raymond and Hillary. Tony is survived by Deone, his wife and girlfriend of 65 years. He is also survived by son, Michael and his wife, Bridget, residing in Bigfork, MT and his son, Nicholas and daughter, Allison; son, James, and his wife, Darlene residing in the Flathead Valley and their two sons Tony, and wife Jodie, Andrew and wife Breana, and their children; Daughter Diana residing in Wisconsin, her son Christopher, wife Wendy and family, and Daughter Georgia. Tony’s youngest daughter, Jennifer McDaniel, resides with her husband, E. L. “Mick” McDaniel and their two children, Michael and Madison, in Indianapolis, IN. The McDaniels will always cherish their many great memories which they shared with Grandpa Tony and Grandma Deone – from Anchorage to Seattle, from Southern California to Scottsdale, and from the family farm in Wisconsin to Kalispell.
