East Greenbush – Anthony Joseph Maguffin, Sr., 69, of Sage Road Port Jefferson Station passed away after a long battle with cancer, Friday, March 2, 2018, at the home of his son, David.
Born in Hackensack, NJ, he was son of the late Joseph Maguffin and Geroliania ‘Mamie’ Marchese Maguffin and husband, for 41 years, of Betty Louise Dew Maguffin. He has resided in Port Jefferson Station, NY since 1989 and was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School in Queens, NY.
Mr. Maguffin, Sr. was a DOT Inspector for NYS Department of Transportation for 26 years retiring in 2015. He was an Army Veterans serving during Vietnam.
Anthony enjoyed riding his Harley, working on his truck and spending time at his camp.
Survivors in addition to his beloved wife, Betty, include his children, Lisa Kneski, Anthony J. Maguffin, Jr., and David (Helena) Maguffin; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Skylar and Jake Kneski and Isabella, Lyla, Merik and Rowan Maguffin; and his brother, George. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Andrea Maguffin
