Anthony Johnkoski, age 46, passed away at his home April 9, 2011. He was born July 9, 1964, in Battle Creek, MI, son of Elizabeth (Freiburghaus) and Vernon Johnkoski. He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1983. His marriage in 1987 ended in separation.
Tony was employed for many years as an automotive mechanic. He enjoyed restoring classic cars in his spare time. He appreciated nature and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He shared his skill as a cook, and took pleasure volunteering at a local soup kitchen in Ft. Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Ann Johnkoski. He is survived by his sons Anthony Jr. and Joshua Johnkoski of Texas, a sister Christy Johnkoski of Battle Creek; brothers Stephen (Robin) Johnkoski of Battle Creek and John (Tammy) Johnkoski of Wausau, WI; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
