Anthony J. Tony Yochum, 69, of Vincennes passed away Wednesday evening at 7:26 PM at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born November 16, 1945 in Vincennes the son of Joseph B. and Anna Marie Clauss Yochum.
He was a graduate of Central Catholic and served his country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War having attained the rank of Sgt. He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, VFW, American Legion, and the 40 et 8. He retired from IPL Generating Station in Petersburg and was a welder and farmer. He enjoys being around family, and friends and always enjoyed just talking.
He is survived by his children, Stephen Yochum, his wife Cheryl of Bruceville, IN, Beverly Watkins, and her husband Jeremy of Vincennes. His grandchildren, Resha Yochum, Tanya Yochum, Peyton Yochum, Riley Yochum, and his step-grandchildren, Andrea Goodman and Nathan Frey. He is also survived by his step-great-grandchildren, Bennett Frey, Shelby Goodman, and Sawyer Goodman. He will be missed by his dear friend, Sheila Hess of Vincennes, IN.
