Anthony Joseph Mattiolo, of Fairfield, beloved husband of 62 years to Marie G. Mattiolo, passed away suddenly on December 24, 2020, two days shy of his 92nd birthday. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Frances Mattiolo, he was a Fairfield resident since 1976. Anthony served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War specializing in Morse code. He was part owner of a furniture store creating the pieces they sold. A gifted craftsman, he could build or fix anything. He was the captain of his boat for over 70 years and proudly built his own Chris-Craft boat in his youth.
