Anthony J. Cantalupo, “Thor,” age 91, of Lavallette, NJ went to the Lord on Tuesday June 18, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Anthony was born in Newark NJ, the loving son of the late Pasquale and Cristina Cantalupo. He is survived by his “beloved and devoted love of his life,” wife Molly (nee Fiore) Cantalupo, and his 3 “Champion” daughters, Toni Cantalupo, Cynthia Cantalupo, and Donna Cantalupo-Bermingham.

A deeply devoted family man, he provided loving guidance to his 6 grandchildren, Anthony, Alexis, John, Billy, Robert and Taylor and derived his greatest joy “watching them grow.” He was a proud Military Veteran who served during the Korean War, amassing devoted friendships that spanned his lifetime. A hardworking, self-made man, he was the owner and President of HVAC company Volpe Service for more than 30 years.

Through his impeccable integrity and capacity to mentor others, he earned the unfailing gratitude, dedication, and love from dozens of his employees, including those especially dear to him, Rocco Bambaci, Tony Iuso, Richard Cunard, Leonard Cantalupo, and Gregory Cantalupo. Anthony retired at age 65, splitting his time between the Jersey Shore and Highland Beach, Florida. He enjoyed golf, bridge, rummikub, walking, conversing, and helping others. He called “Seagate of Highland” home for more than 25 years, serving as Vice President on the Seagate Board of Directors from 2005-2010.

His common brilliance, trustworthy honesty and valued leadership continue to garner respect from all. Seagate’s American flag now flies at half-mast to honor the many contributions of this selfless man. Anthony had a heart of gold, boundless intelligence, and a warmth and humility that drew admiration and love from all who were blessed to touch his path. His incredible sense of humor and infectious personality will leave a great void in countless lives. He is deeply missed by his heart-broken family who would have moved the Earth, Moon, and Stars to have him back. As this wonderful man was known to say, we love you dear Husband, Dad, Pop-Pop, Brother, Uncle, Friend to the moon and back!
