MELITIAnthony G., Sr., Age 76, of Drexel Hill, PA, and formerly of Ardmore and Overbrook, passed away on November 29th, 2020.Survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Janis M. (nee Conway); his loving children, Karen Clyde (Jim), Diane Petrucci (Rick), Carol MacLaughlin (Jamie), Anthony Jr. (Kelly), Francis (Lisa); his 13 cherished grandchildren Christopher, Jimmy, Jack, Nick, Dan, Julia, Jamie, Jessica, Ryan, Lauren, Connor, Briana and Lucas; his 1 adoring great-granddaughter Leighton ; his dear brother Frank Meliti, his treasured sister Frances Armandi (the late Skippy) ; loved sister in laws Sharon Conway (the late John) and Sharon Karlton; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Anthony was the son of the late Frank P and Frances P Meliti. He grew up in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia. He graduated from St. Thomas Moore and the Philadelphia Institute of Technology. He served in the US Army. He was a man of few words but when he spoke you listened. He never asked for anything but was sure to help everyone he could. He enjoyed going to the casino with his wife, his mother and his uncle and playing the lottery. Since retiring, he never missed a pitch of a Phillies game if it was watching it with his wife or going to a game. Some of his favorite things to do were playing in the back yard with his kids when they were young, going to the beach and watching his grandkids play in all their sports. His greatest pride were his grandchildren. He made sure they had everything they needed or wanted. He was excited to be a great grandfather and smiled whenever her picture was shown. He will be dearly missed but lives on in each of us.
