Anthony Francis (Tony) Arnone, 92, of 330 Amity Road,Woodbridge, formerly of North Haven passed away on March 5, 2011 in St. Raphael’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Antoinette Ellis Arnone and the late Angela (Babe) Arnone. Tony was born in New HavenNov. 20, 1918 a son of the late Michael and Angelina Setaro Arnone. He was retired from the United Illuminating Co. after 29 years. An Army veteran of WWII, he saw action in the Asiatic Pacific War Theater. He was also active in the Hamden Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club, and the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his children Mary (Joseph) Barraco and Michael Arnone both of Wallingford, Anthony F. (Barbara) Arnone Jr. of Hamden, and Suzanne (Bohdan) Popel of Woodbridge. Adoring Poppy to Joseph Barraco, Tara (James) Amodio, Vanessa (Frank) Magnotta, Sophia, Katie, and Anthony Arnone and Joseph and Michael Popel. Great grandfather of Avery Elizabeth Amodio. He was predeceased by four brothers, Demetrio “Mac”, John, Joseph V. and William Arnone; and four sisters, Lucille Norman, Rose Fernino, Anna Perry, and Mary DeBrizzi.
