WASHINGTON… Anthony E. Cravatta, 83, of Washington, passed away at 2:03 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Tony was born on May 15, 1932 in Streator to Charles and Myra (Lewis) Cravatta. He married Beverly McMillin in Streator on May 14, 1955.
Among those surviving is his wife, Bev; two daughters, Sally (Sam Hazelett) Baldini of Logansport, IN and Tracy (Kevin) Martin of Pekin; one brother, Carl (Linda) Cravatta of Streator; one sister, Anne Salata of Streator and six grandchildren, Stephenie Cravatta, Colton and Beau Ginn, Garrett and Madison Baldini and Erica Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Stephen who died in 1997.
Tony had served in the U. S. Army after high school, with part of his time spent in Germany.
He retired as a meat cutter working for Kroger more than 40 years, last working on Sterling in Peoria.
Tony was a lifetime member of Kennel Lake Sportsman Club where he loved to fish. He was the biggest Cub Fan in the Midwest and also loved to hunt rabbits.
