Anthony Dushon Latimore “Lati Daddy or Lat” entered into peace and went to be with Jesus on October 25, 2021.
Anthony is survived by his mother Gwethlyn Latimore, daughters Danielle and Skylar Latimore; sister Yehneeta Latimore, aunt Vanessa Latimore, nephew Dylan Latimore, aunt Millie, uncle Nathan and childhood friend and brother Riley Holloway.
Anthony was born on March 15, 1972. Anthony was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee where he attended elementary and high school. He enlisted in the United States Navy at Knoxville MEPS in 1990 and attended Boot Camp at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL.
Over the course of his 26-year military career, he served aboard the USS Iwo Jima, USS Brewton Pearl Harbor, USS George Philip, USS Inchon and multiple Naval Air Stations. Anthony retired in 2016 as an Air Traffic Control Senior Chief Petty Officer stationed in New Orleans, LA.
He was recognized and earned multiple awards during his military career to include; Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (7 awards), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Military outstanding Volunteer Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
Anthony earned a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in the area of Leadership and Management from Webster University.
