Anthony “Tony” Buncum Jr., 35, of Middleton, died Sunday, October 2, 2011, at his home.
Tony was born August 12, 1976 in Fort Ord, California, to Anthony Buncum and Carol Akins . At the age of 13, he moved with his mom to the Portland area where he graduated from high school. After high school He was a volunteer fire fighter for the town of Corbet OR, for the last year of high school. Tony joined the US Navy and served his country with pride for 13 years. He was a highly decorated soldier, fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, defending our country from terrorists. Tony married Amanda Gordon from Washington, who gave birth to his daughter Tyra Buncum. Later Tony married Camilla Ann Thompson in 2006 in Nevada.
Tony is survived by his wife, Cami Buncum, of Middleton; his daughter, Tyra Buncum of Bremerton, WA; his mother, Carol Akins of Portland, OR; his dad, Anthony Buncum of St. Johns Island, SC; his brother, Michael Scott of CA; along with several more relatives.
