Anthony A. Pokorny, 78, of Gambrills, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2018. He was born in Annapolis to the late Anthony and Marie Pokorny. He graduated from Arundel High School in 1958. Tony retired from the Maryland State Police after 34 years of service. During that time, he also served in the Army from 1963-1965. He was a member of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, FOP, Odenton Heritage Society and the Turtle Club. Tony was an avid bowler for 40+ years and played slow pitch softball with the State Police and also fast pitch with Gambrills Athletic Club.
