MAYSVILLE, Anson Blake Tribby, husband of Rebecca (Walton) Tribby passed away on January 22, 2013 in a motor vehicle accident.
Blake, the son of Bob and Pam Tribby, was born on February 21, 1987 in Maysville, Kentucky. Blake is preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Leet; and step-grandfather, Jimmie McElfresh. Blake is survived by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Sara Tribby; maternal grandmother, Barbara McElfresh; step-grandmother, Terri Leet; aunts, uncles, and cousins Keith and Mavis Leet (Kelly and Kevin), Susan Tribby (Blair), Kim and Mike Razor, Michelle and Ed Koehler (Madison), Robby Leet; his in-laws Doug and Debi Walton along with their children Tyler and Ginny Walton (Jackson) and Barry and Jess Walton (Quinn). He is also survived by his brothers and sisters of the Kentucky State Police, local law enforcement officers, and sheriffs from across the state.
Blake was baptized at Mt.
Blake considered the achievement of becoming a Kentucky State Police Trooper as the pinnacle of his life. Blake never forgot the lessons learned at the Academy or what it meant to be a KSP Trooper. Blake’s fellow officers praise him for his never-ending dedication to the spirit and purpose of being a KSP Trooper. Blake often came into work early and stayed late, and told his mother, “I can’t believe they pay me to do this job!” Even when he was off work, Blake would keep his radio on and contact the other Troopers with his keen insight.
Blake not only had a passion for his career, but for his wife, family, and his dog appropriately named Troop.
Blake’s wife and mother often worried about his safety in the line of duty. Blake always asked why they should be worried? Even if the worst thing happened, he knew he would be with God and everything would be ok.
Blake has been described as passionate, disciplined, courteous, thoughtful, respectful, loving, fun, diligent, compassionate, dependable, brave and honorable. But now that he is gone, he will be mainly described as missed.
In all aspects of Blake’s personal and professional life, Blake has made his wife, family, friends, and community very proud.
