Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & Great Great Grandmother
Southbury (formerly of Waterbury) – Mrs. Annunziata ‘Nancy’ Calabretta, age 98, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012. She was able to spend her last week at home surrounded by her loving family celebrating the Christmas Holiday. She resided with her daughter Marie Sinopoli. She was the loving wife of the late Antonio Calabretta for 56 years. Mrs. Calabretta was born on March 20, 1914 in Satriano, Calabria, Italy, daughter of the late Pasquale and Mariangela (Basile) Battaglia. Nancy immigrated to Waterbury on Dec. 21, 1954 with her Husband & children being one of the first families to arrive as an entire family together.
Her family was her life, she was the caregiver for multiple generations. She loved to garden, knit, cook, bake & loved to sing.
