Annmarie “Annie” Hastings, age 49 years, of Bourne, died Thursday, March 4, 2021 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Paul S. Hastings of Plymouth and the late Annmarie (MacSwain) Hastings. Born on November 5, 1971 in Boston, she was a graduate of Plymouth North High School, class of 1989. She went on to study accounting. Annie worked in communications at Verizon for twenty-five years. She was an active member and leader in the Communications Workers of America (CWA), a Union Steward at Verizon and a member of the Legislative Political Action Team of CWA. Her Verizon family honored Annie with her very own annual Ann Hastings of America Day. She was also a member of the Plymouth Elks Club. Annie possessed a larger-than life personality with a super-quick wit and an infectious laugh that will be sorely missed. She was incredibly kind and generous with a willingness to help others and anyone in need. She loved to travel with her loving family and wonderful friends. In addition to her father Paul, Annie will be forever missed by her daughter Marisa, who was her world, her sisters Dawnmarie K. Hastings-Ely and her husband Joe of Plympton, and Jean Trainor and her husband Jack of Plymouth. She was the devoted aunt of John and Jake Trainor, who positively adored her, and a great friend to many. She is also survived by her four-legged pal, Luna. In addition to her immediate family, Annie also leaves behind much love from the Duggan, Hastings, Lenane, MacSwain, Murray, Schuckman and Verizon families.
