Annie Will Eidson Winkles was born April 17, 1919 to a family of farmers in the Roscoe community of Coweta County. Her parents were Homer and Luella Lambert Eidson.

After finishing school, she met and married a young man named J. W. Winkles. They both came from humble backgrounds but were gifted an incredible work ethic. Annie Will and her husband would go on to found a successful insurance business that operated until their retirement. J.W. would also discover that there was a great need for affordable housing in the county. This was another business they shared, with J. W. doing the leg work and Annie Will doing the book work. Always cautious about finances, they never built the next house until the present one had a buyer in place.

The Macedonia area and Newton Road area are the sites for many of these houses. Life changed dramatically for Annie Will in 1999 when her beloved J. W. passed away. Their only child, a daughter had also died earlier. In her later years, Annie Will was cared for by her nieces and nephews.
