Annie Nell Gathright, age 88 of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on December 18, 2021 in Nashville. She was born on July 24, 1933 in the Buck Range Community to the late B.J. Barton and Ruby Coleman Barton.
Annie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nashville. She was active in the Joy Circle of that church and the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. Annie began her working career in 1960 and bought the KBHC radio station in Nashville in 1972 and worked there for 41 years. She was a former member to the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Annie and her husband, Pete, enjoyed going to their farm every day. She loved watching their cows and named them. She also enjoyed working in her yard.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Autry Castleberry; her son Rick Castleberry; stepdaughter Stacy Gathright; brother Bobby Joe Barton.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Pete Gathright; her daughter Rhonda Moses, and husband Gerald; daughter-in-law Connie Castleberry all of Nashville; four grandchildren Chris Moses and wife Missy of Maumelle, Craig Moses and wife Angela of Hot Springs, Courtney Worthen and husband Jeff of Benton, Kate Kuykendall and husband Marc of Van Buren; stepchildren Reggie Gathright and wife Kay and Stephanie Griggs, both of Nashville; great grandchildren Lincoln Moses of Conway, Dayten Moses of Rowlett, Texas, McKinley Moses and Grant Moses of Maumelle, Ryleigh Moses of Hot Springs, Kyleigh and Landrey Kuykendall of Van Buren; sister-in-law Clorene Greathouse and husband Morris; special friend Nelda Barton, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
