Annie Marie Sauerwein, 54, of Gooding, was taken from us far to soon on Friday, March 25, 2022.
Annie was born September 26, 1967 in Santa Paula, California, the daughter of Bobby Joe Carpenter and Freda Rushing.
Annie attended Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande, California. She received her certificate in cosmetology from Santa Maria Beauty College.
Annie married Paul Sauerwein on July 5, 2014 north of Fairfield, Idaho. Annie and Paul’s love story actually began 27 years prior.
In 2012 Annie used social media to contact Paul, she simply asked “Is this my old driving instructor?” A few weeks later Paul and Annie met in Vegas “just to see”, the sparks flew! Paul travelled to California two weeks later to move Annie to Idaho with his family, her two sons followed shortly after. In Idaho Annie inherited Paul’s three grown children and ten grandkids, whom she loved and welcomed with open arms and a whole heart. It was obvious from day one, Annie and Paul’s families were meant to blend.
Annie quickly emersed herself in her new life in Idaho, she was not afraid to try anything. She worked for the Gooding School District as a Janitor for a few years, where she built lasting relationships with her coworkers and the students. She eventually made the decision to be Paul’s right hand on the farm and left the school district.
Annie’s life revolved around her family, she was an amazing, wife, mom, and grandma. She was always there when you needed her and brought so much life to all of us. She was very involved with her grandkids; she was always toting one around or heading to pick one up. She loved fishing, crafting, and giant sleepovers with all the grandkids.
Annie had the most infectious smile, her laugh, her kindness, her way of making a simple “Hi” so felt will be greatly missed. She would do anything for anyone, you didn’t have to be family for her to be there for you.
The hole in our hearts will one day fill because of the love we know Annie had for us and love we all have for her.
Annie was proceeded in death by her father – Bobby Joe Carpenter.
