Annie Mae Crawford was born November 22, 1924 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Viola Whirley Rhodes Jolly and Willie Rhodes. She was called home on January 13, 2013 at 2:15 P. M. at Decatur Morgan County Hospital- Decatur General Campus surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie Crawford, one brother, Mr. Herman Rhodes and two sisters; Mrs. Lena Pebbles and Mrs. Rosie Lee Dobbins.
She attended Carver School. She was very active in running track.
She professed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Hills Chapel CP Church in America under the leadership of the Rev. Jenkin Blackmon. Upon moving to Birmingham, Alabama with her husband she joined Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Isaiah Jackson. After moving back to Decatur, she joined Alma St. Church of God under the leadership of Elder Morrow.
