Mrs. Annie Mae Hird of Riverview, FL passed away Monday May 18, 2020.
Mrs. Annie Mae Hird was born to John and Gertrude Hamlin in Macon, GA. She moved to Tampa, in 1945 and was a resident of West Hyde Park for over 65 years. Annie accepted Christ at an early age and attended Don Thompson High School. Annie was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, Family Matriarch, and friend to many. Annie loved to travel and was an avid cruiser.
Annie got great joy from cooking for family and friends and was known as a great cook. She loved all children and even helped raise a few, the positive impact she made on her family and friends will last forever. Annie had a nurturing and compassionate soul and will be most remembered for her gift of wisdom, love of life and her fierce devotion to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Gertrude Hamlin; brothers, Joe Hamlin and James Hamlin; sister, Junita Morris; niece, Torina Morris; and great grandson, Myles Hamlin.
