Quietly slipping into the arms of her Savior, Annie Mae Haynes Banks departed to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. We know she was met by an angelic host rejoicing to have a life well lived, return. Annie’s bubbly personality and outgoing attitude left her family and friends with a multitude of honorable memories that exemplify her life. This Lady knew and loved the Lord.
Born to Marion and Simzie Haynes on October 25, 1919, she entwined her existence around people; always ready to listen, talk, help, pray, and encourage with her warming smile. She loved children, “biting” their cheeks and slipping them candy.
Greeting Annie in heaven are close family members; her Parents, Marion and Simzie Haynes her husband of 25 years, Martin, and her brothers Willie Eugene and Alton Luther Haynes and others.
Annie Mae leaves to continue celebrating her life; Son, Martin L. Banks, Jr. (Carolyn), Grandson, Martin L. Banks, III, Ms. Nichole Smith, Great Grandsons Caleb, Ryan and Martin L. Banks, IV, and Danielle Scott, along with other family members and friends all over the country.
