Annie Lou Walters, 93, of Reevesville, widow of Joseph Franklin Walters, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at her residence.
Annie Lou was born on September 3, 1923, in Denmark, a daughter of the late Joseph Nathaniel and Annie Elizabeth Darnell. She was a member of the Old St. George Baptist Church and worked in sales at Widelitz Department Store and The Village Shop. She was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Jackson; siblings, Hazel D. Sharpe, Betty Jo Camp, Modell Gibson and Harvey “Buck” Darnell; and a son-in-law, Larry McAlhany.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda Ann McAlhany and Kathy Jo Walters; grandchildren, Denise (Rodney) Fauling and Anthony (Julie) McAlhany; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Nicholas, and Julianna McAlhany, Andrew Fauling, all of Reevesville, Jessica Byrd, Columbia and Kacie F. (Topher) Pecora, Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Eugene “Buddy” (Jeaneace) Darnell, Barnwell and John Edward “Ed” (June) Darnell, Denmark; a sister, Helen D. Ayer; a sister-in-law, Emma Lee Gruber, both of St. George; and, a son-in-law, Raymond Jackson, Reevesville.
