Annie Kate Rebman Moore, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 peacefully in her home on Lookout Mountain, surrounded by her family at the age of 94. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Frederick Rebman, Jr. and Kate Brown Rebman of Courtland, Alabama. She was born July 21, 1914 in Courtland Alabama. She graduated from Courtland High School in 1930, Ward Belmont College in Nashville in 1932 and received her B.A. degree from Duke University in 1934. She married the late the late Alvin O’Brien Moore on July 8, 1936. He was from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, moved to Chattanooga in November 1936 where he practiced law until his death in 1998. He was a member of the law firm of Spears, Moore Rebman and Williams. Katie, as she was known by her family, was a member of the Junior League of Chattanooga, the Nancy Ward Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Lookout Mountain Reading (Book) Club.
