ANNIE GONZALES, 75, a lifelong resident of Lordsburg passed away Thursday January 7, 2016 at Mt. View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.
Annie was born May 30, 1940 in Lordsburg to Joe and Beatrice (Figueroa) Delgado. She graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1959 and was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Annie especially enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren and she also enjoyed doing arts and crafts.
She is survived by her children, Denise Smith of Las Cruces, Pete Gonzales (Jody) of Lordsburg, David Joe “D.J.” Gonzales of Tucson, AZ, Alexander G. Thorne of Roswell, NM, Doreen Mora (John) of Lordsburg, Sammy Gonzales (Rosemary) of Las Cruces, and Elaine Gonzales of Glendale, AZ; brothers and sisters are JoAnn Finley of Las Cruces, Manuela Rodriguez of Lordsburg, Lorenzo Delgado of Lordsburg, and Mario Delgado of Morenci, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband David S. Gonzales, daughter Elizabeth Roper, and brother, Alfonso “Big Al” Delgado.
