She is survived by her beloved husband Petrus (Peter) of Sharpsburg, her beloved son James Watson and his wife Cathi (Cathleen) Rutsey of Ferndale, Michigan, her beloved granddaughter Nanette Basler and her husband Steve, Madison Heights, MI, her beloved grandson Corey J. Watson Eastpoint, MI, her greatgrandchildren Ahnalee, Hailey Paige, and Cameron Basler, Dakotah, Norah, and Emma Watson, all of Michigan, her brother Charles Walker (Geri), Warsaw, Indiana, her step-son Bart Janssen of Venlo, The Netherlands, her step-daughter Dorien Janssen of Venlo, The Netherlands and two step grandchildren, Philene and Philippe of Venlo, The Netherlands, Janet Janssen (+ on October 12, 2016), of Venlo, the Netherlands.
She spent most of her adult life in Michigan. Employed by BCBSM for 24 years, she retired in 1995 from the position of Vice President of Operations. Throughout her life she worked in support of human rights, equality of opportunity, and the end to animal cruelty. She and her husband moved to Sharpsburg GA in 2003. She assisted her husband in founding Janssen Piano Services.
