Annette T. Kelly died peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 6. She bravely faced a disease which slowly took most of her memory but never her kind nature, sense of humor, or love for her children, grandchildren, and sister.
Annette was born July 25, 1937 to Wilmer and Ethel Tarver. After graduation from Leroy High School, she moved to Mobile where she worked at Merchants Bank and met her husband, Jimmy Kelly. They later returned to Wagarville and raised a family. They were together 35 years until his death in 1995. Annette worked as a school aide at Leroy High School for over 20 years. After retirement she loved her role as a grandmother.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Kelly. She is survived by her children, Kim (Kent) Ikner, Pam (Stan) Bradford, and Jimmy (Jane) Kelly; grandchildren, Robert (Ashley) Ikner, Kate (Austin) Benton, Samantha Powell, Laura Kelly, Kasey (Carlos) Delgado, Caroline Bradford; great grandchildren, Emmy Benton, Preston Delgado; sister, Claire Lankford, sister in law, Mildred Karcher and numerous nieces & nephews.
Her family will miss her terribly but rejoice in knowing she is healed and perfect in the presence of our Lord and Savior.
Her family extends gratitude and special thanks to her caregivers at The Meadows Assisted Living, Washington County Nursing Home, and Kare-In-Home Hospice.
