Annette was born July 8, 1930 at home west of Battle Creek, the daughter of Art and Helen (Brase) Rodekohr. She was baptized July 27, 1930 at the teacherage of St. John Lutheran Church in Battle Creek. She was confirmed May 16, 1943 at St. John Lutheran Church. She graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1947.
Annette married Melvin Miller on April 17, 1949 at St. John Lutheran Church. The couple farmed southwest of Battle Creek until 1995 and then moved to Battle Creek in 1997. She moved to Norfolk in April 2012 and became a resident of Heritage of Bel Air.
Annette is survived by her son and his wife Jim (Judy) Miller of Hoskins, four daughters and their husbands, Susan Wood of Birmingham, Alabama, Karyn (Keith) Vrbicky of Norfolk, Karyl (Karl) Eischeid of Carroll, Iowa, and Mary (Kevin) Garrison of Hillsborough, California, her brother John (Donna) Rodekohr of Meadow Grove, sisters, Helen Wagner, of Santa Fe, NM, Artie (Russell), Summerlin of Tucker, GA, Marcy (Jim) Bartee of Norfolk, and Joan Freudenburg of Peoria, IL, brother in-law Donald (Alice) Miller of Battle Creek, 16 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Melvin, one grandson Jordan Eischeid, two sisters, Marjorie and her husband Wayne Tegeler, Dorothy and her husband Don Larson, and her brother in-law Jerry Freudenburg.
