Annette “Babe” Delores (Fairbanks) Vaughan, age 70, of Cass Lake, Minnesota journeyed home to her Lord and Savior from her home on Thursday, August 4th, 2022.

Babe was born in Cass Lake, MN on June 17th, 1952, the daughter of Louise (Drumbeater) and Charles Fairbanks, Sr., was raised in the Ball Club and Aurora areas and attended the Deer River High School.  After high school, she enlisted in the military and spent 17 years as a finance officer for the United States Army.  After being honorably discharged, she spent five years in the Minneapolis area before coming home to Ball Club.  Babe lived there for 10 years before moving to Cass Lake, where she lived until her passing.  She was an accountant for the tribe and a proud member of the Leech Lake Honor Guard.  Babe spent her free time reading novels, watching her favorite channel, Lifetime, and spending time with her sister, Carol.  Babe loved spending time at the casino, eating fried pork chops and bologna sandwiches with chips and ketchup.  She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

She is welcomed home by her parents, Louise and Charles Fairbanks, Sr.; sisters, Judith “DoDo”, Debra “Debbie” and Geraldine Fairbanks; brother, Charles “Beez” Fairbanks, Jr. and several other relatives and friends.

Those she leaves behind are her sons, Frank (Yanniibah) Brunello, Jerry Kingbird, Jr., Richard Vaughan, and Sherwin “Jamie” Costello, Jr.; sister, Carol (Harold) Fairbanks; special nephew, Lynal (Christina) Fairbanks, Sr.; her grandchildren, all her other family members and her many friends.
