Annette C. Cooke, 87, of Bristol, beloved wife of Michael Edward Cooke, died Friday, February 22, 2008, at Bristol Hospital.
She was born January 21, 1921 in Robersonville, Canada, daughter of the late Gideon and Marie (Fortier) St. Hilaire. Annette came to the United States at the age of five and attended local schools in Bristol. She later married her husband, Michael, on April 6, 1942 and has been married to him for the past 65 years. She was employed as a School Crossing Guard in Bristol for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St.
Besides her husband, Michael, she is survived by her children, Charlotte V. Cooke of Bristol, Michael Edward Cooke III and his wife Jacqueline of Terryville, and Timothy B. Cooke of Bristol; her grandchildren, Shawn, Shannon, and Shane Miller, Michael IV, Brett, and Heather Cooke, Briana and Collin Cooke; her four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Jeanette Charette of Bristol, Mabel Preleski of Bristol, and Shirley St. Hilaire of New Hampshire; her brothers, Sammy St. Hilaire of North Carolina and Robert St. Hilaire of Terryville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Rocky St. Hilaire.
