Annetta Marie Lynch, 80, of Jacksonville and formerly of West Salem, died Monday, November 19, 2007, at Modern Care Convalescent Center.

She was born August 4, 1927, in Noble, the daughter of Opal and Maude Haines McLerran. She married Herbert Ray Lynch on June 1, 1952, in Olney, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2003.

She is survived by three sons, Dr. Ronald Ray (wife, Kim) Lynch of Jacksonville, James Lee (wife, Kathy) Lynch of O’Fallon, and Dr. Samuel Eugene (wife, Leslie) Lynch of Franklin, Tenn.; one step-daughter, Dorothy Fleetwood of Lafayette, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Marcus Lynch of Jacksonville, Matthew Lynch of Alton, Michelle (husband, Kevin) Sjuts of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Allyson Lynch, Meaghan Lynch and Kaylee Lynch, all of Franklin, Tenn.; one brother, Bryce (wife, Sarilee) McLerran of Largo, Fla.; and two sisters, Kay (husband, Robert) Pinkstaff of Morris and Martha King of Olney.

Mrs. Lynch was a devoted mother and farm wife. For much of her life she also worked as a beautician. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed cooking for them and taking care of them. She also enjoyed reading Christian literature. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, where she taught Sunday School, until she and her husband moved to Jacksonville in 2001. She became a member of First Christian Church in South Jacksonville, and the highlight of her week was attending Sunday morning services with her family. Her loving and unselfish presence will be greatly missed.
