Anne N. Hayes, 92, passed away peacefully at her home on April 1, 2019. She was the daughter of the late John E. Burke Sr. and Alice (McKinnon) Burke. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Henry (Bud) Hayes, and her daughter Elizabeth Anne Tetrault. She is survived by her brother John E. Burke Jr., her daughter and son in law, Mary Alice and Bob Maher, as well as Elizabeth’s husband Tom Tetrault. She will be lovingly missed by her four grandchildren, Dan Maher and his wife Kasey, John Maher and his wife Kristin, Matthew Tetrault and his wife Amie, as well as Aimee Mishkin and her husband Sam. Her six great-grandchildren, Hayes Maher, Hudson Maher, Keily Maher, Micaela Maher, Madeleine Anne Mishkin, and Michael Mishkin, brought her a joy she had yet to experience as they shared their unconditional love with her. She loved to look into their faces and try to see the family traits of those that had come before them. The telling of her story would not be complete without the mention of her brother’s children, the Burke clan, Moira Mahegan, Sheila Burke, John Burke, and the late Michael Burke. She loved them and their families, including the spectacular ten great-nieces and nephews, as if they were her own. Anne enjoyed life as she spent many happy summers at the cottage at Long Beach in Rockport, and many carefree winters with her husband Bud, in Florida. She also traveled to Paris, and on a few occasions to Ireland. Anne had many homemaking skills, with her talent for the art of knitted creations topping the list, as those who were gifted with her labors of love can attest.
