Anne Marie Camelia Nemorin,  born Anne Marie Camelia Lazarre, 68, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Miami, FL was born on October 29, 1949, in Mole Saint Nicolas, Haiti to the late Francine Lazarre and Maurice Roche.

Known by family and friends as “Cam,”  she was very strong and independent, which can be seen in the way she raised her children. In 1985, due to persecution after the loss of three small children, Cam sacrificed her life by fleeing Haiti and left her daughter Christiana with family in the United States. She later returned to the United  States and gave birth to her son Ralph. In 1989, she along with her son, reunited with her daughter and from then raised both her children herself with the support of family.

While in the United States as an undocumented immigrant, Cam used the resources she had to make a living. In Miami, she was the local candy lady, then worked in Macy’s doing housekeeping, and she later owned her own shoe business in Opa-Locka flea market. Cam loved having her business because it allowed her to meet people of different nationalities and during this time she trained her son the basics on how to be self-employed. Cam enjoyed a good laugh, loved her family very much, and loved being in their company.

Over the years, Cam’s health deteriorated due to Parkinson’s Disease, Hypertension, and Dementia. On June 24, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, she went to be with her Lord and Savior at approximately 3:45 PM in the afternoon, due to acute respiratory failure. Her family members including her husband, her children, along with their spouses, and her sister were by her side as she journied to peace.
