Anne J. (Moore) Finkbeiner, age 83 of Oro Valley, AZ and formerly of Midland and Frankfort, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Tucson, AZ. The daughter of the late Henry and Julia (Barker) Moore was born on August 13, 1926 in Highland Park, MI. On August 22, 1948 she married Warren H. Finkbeiner in Birmingham, MI.
Anne attended Stephens College and received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University; she received a master’s degree from Central Michigan University. The Finkbeiners moved to Midland in 1957.
Anne worked as a Librarian for the Midland Public Schools until her retirement in 1975 and was a long time member of the Midland First United Methodist Church and the PEO sisterhood.
In 2006 Anne and Warren moved to Tucson, Arizona, where Anne led a very active social life, surrounded by the many friends she easily made. Her friendship and good cheer will be greatly missed.
Anne is survived by her husband Warren H. Finkbeiner, DDS, of Tucson, AZ; daughters Amy (William) Daehler of Whitefish Bay, WI and Julie (Kenneth) Plax of Tucson, AZ; a sister Erma (Robert) Whittaker of Traverse City; and a sister in law Freeda Moore of Hilton Head, SC. Also surviving are grandchildren Annette Daehler, Scott Daehler, Charles Daehler and Irene Plax.
