Anne Louise “Nancy” (Burns) Grimison, 77, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Viera Hospital in Viera, FL. She was born on September 1, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY; grew up in Easton, PA and spent much of her life raising her eight children in the Panama Canal Zone.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thomas Grimison; and children, Elizabeth Fahy, Christina Volonnino, Richard Grimison, Patrick Grimison, Rebecca Pletcher, Melinda Niemeyer, Eric Grimison and Matthew Grimison; as well as sons and daughters-in-law, Bill Fahy, Ed Volonnino, Diana Grimison, Myra Grimison, Geoff Pletcher, Tom Niemeyer, Rachel Grimison and Theresa Grimison. Nancy was the devoted “Grandmommy” to 18 grandchildren, Erin, Colleen and Shannon Fahy; Carly, Tommy, Samantha and Megan Grimison; Brandon and Chelsea Grimison; Dylan, Ryan and Rachel Pletcher; Breanne and Alison Niemeyer; MaryJane and Evan Grimison and Jack and William Grimison. She is also survived by sisters, Beth Chillot, Patti Chillot and Kathleen Case and their spouses Lew Chillot, Pat Chillot and Jim Case, all of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Patrick Burns; and sister, Marianne Singley, also of Pennsylvania.

Nancy and Tom met while students at Penn State University, where she majored in journalism. They married and made their home where Tom was born and raised, the Panama Canal Zone, for more than 25 years until they moved to Merritt Island, and later Satellite Beach, FL.
