Anne E. Blachowski, 87, of Manchester, wife of the late Henry Blachowski, passed away peacefully Friday, February 22, 2008.
She was born March 30, 1920 in Milford, MA and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Sawicki) Zarach. Anne and Henry made their home in Bristol for many years, where they raised their family.
Anne will sadly be missed by her children, Frank Blachowski of Windsor Locks, Maryanne Thomas of Windsor, Carolyn Chudzik and her husband, Bill of Manchester, and Henry Blachowski, Jr. of Manchester. She also leaves her devoted grandchildren, Brian Blachowski of Florida, Melissa Lardomita and her husband, Mike of Las Vegas, Nevada, Stephanie Famiano and her husband, Joe of Simsbury, Gregory Chudzik of New York City, Peter Chudzik of Blacksburg, Virginia and Andrea Chudzik of Manchester. Anne was the proud great-grandmother of Taylor, Mia, and Isaiah. In addition, Anne leaves her two sisters, Eugenia of Cape Cod and Regina of Virginia and was predeceased by her brother, Edward. Anne also leaves two devoted caregivers, Carol Jolicoeur and Tanya Beckford, to which the family is very grateful. Anne will be remembered for her soft and gentle manner and her endless patience by all who knew her and was happiest when surrounded by her family.
