Anne C. Gavin, 70, passed away in her home on June 21, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilbor C. Gavin; parents Walter Edward and Eleanor Hart Casterton; and a niece, Sara Lynn Perkins. She is survived by a sister, Susan C. Perkins (Tony); nephew, Eddie Perkins (Bethany); niece, Amy Perkins (Nick Berghorst); and two great nephews, Clay and Colt.Anne was a graduate of Granby High School, where she was a member of the elite singing groups, The Madrigals and The Nonuette. She earned a Bachelors Degree from Lynchburg College, where she also competed in D III equestrian events. She trained riders at Kirby Lonsdale Farms, her Suffolk home, before becoming a resource teacher in both Portsmouth and Chesapeake Public Schools, retiring from Deep Creek High School. She especially loved the Green Bay Packers, taking many trips to Lambeau Field to see them play.
