Annabelle McDonald, 82, passed away on November 30, 2022. She was born on June 20, 1940, in Roane County, WV. After traveling as a military spouse around the world, she settled in Alamogordo which she has called home for the past 40 years. Ann was a loving wife and mother. She was an avid bingo player and always loved to bring snacks to share with all her friends at the Senior Center and the Odd Fellows Lodge where she also volunteered. She was always happy to step in with whatever was needed to help.
Ann is survived by her husband, Stacy McDonald; her brother, Richard Westfall and his wife Teri; her daughters, Donna Shurtz and husband David Shurtz, Linda Payne and husband Robert Payne Jr., and Pamela Peterson and husband Kirk Peterson; her grandchildren, Scott Shurtz and his wife Kara, Mandi Cook and her wife Amber, Iyana Payne, Brittany Peterson, Jon Peterson and fiancée Rachel Bloodworth, Kyle Knapp, Alexandra Knapp, and Josh Knapp; great grandchildren, Ella and Hannah Shurtz, Jameson Knapp, and Addison Green.
She is preceded in death by her son, Arnold Lee Knapp; her granddaughter, Stephanie Shurtz; her brothers, Frank, Ronald and Bill Westfall; her sisters, Shelby Sabo and Becky Santore.
