Anna Sipiera, 89, of Harbert, Michigan, died Tuesday morning, July 5, 2005, at Country Manor Care Center in Bridgman, Michigan.

Anna was born May 25, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois to Valentine and Mary (Twarog) Wojcik. On June 26, 1937, she married Anthony Sipiera in Chicago. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1985. Anna and Anthony moved from Chicago in 1964 to make their home in Michigan.

Anna was an active member of the River Valley Senior Center for 30 years and entertained with the Senior Center’s Kitchen Band. She was a member of St. Agnes Church in Sawyer. Anna enjoyed reading, completing word search puzzles and she loved to polka. She grew blueberries, raspberries and flowers in her yard to enjoy.

Survivors include her sons Norbert (Melanee) Sipiera of Mount Prospect, Illinois and George (Judy) Sipiera of Leesburg, Florida; grandchildren, Marcus (Jennifer) Sipiera, Mary Beth (Brett) Stark, Jayne (Scott) Butera and Jill (Sean) McHugh, great grandchildren, Matthew, Quinn, Hannah, Hailey and Hope, and her sister Dorothy Raducka of Chicago.
