Anna R. Palmatier, 87, formerly of Duboistown, died Thursday December 9, 2010 at the Williamsport Home.
Born June 11, 1923 in Drifting, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Harry M. and Jeannette Folmar Moyer.
She was married on May 3, 1941 to Martin H. Palmatier who preceded her in death in 1970.
Anna was a 1939 graduate of South Williamsport High School. She had worked for CA Reed and a cafeteria worker for South Williamsport Area School District for 17 years. Anna was a member of the Duboistown United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, was a Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Duboistown Women’s Society, where she was treasurer for 17 years. She was active in the Duboistown Borough Meetings, was a hospice volunteer, and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are her four children; Martin “Butch” Palmatier (Linda) of Williamsport, Joy Bailey and Sue Crowe both of Banning, CA, Sue Hauser (Charles) of Treverton, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a sister Edna “Sis” Breidinger of Williamsport.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Joseph A. Bailey, III “Joey” on December 1, 2010, four brothers Morgan, Harold, Edward “Chub”, and Meryl Moyer.
