Anna Marie Borquez was born on May 3rd, 1950, in Denver Colorado and passed away on July 12, 2021, in Wheat Ridge Colorado. She was 71.
Anna was a loving & caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a graduate of Denver’s West High School and was very proud of the work she accomplished as a social worker, homemaker and was well known as a skilled cook and intuitive musician who learned to sing, play the flute, and took over the family piano at the age of five.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; Reverend Florentino Rivera & Maria Acosta – Rivera, husband Rocco Borquez, siblings: Isaac Rivera (Grace), Molly Duarte (Fred), Ezekiel Rivera (Florence), Aurora Arguello (Gabriel), Benjamin Rivera (Alice) Eva Gonzalez (Geno) and sister in-law Lillian Rivera. Anna is survived by her children; Tammy Quintana (Jim), Conrad Borquez (Lucia) grandchildren, Skyler, Desmond, Alyssa & Danessa. Great grandchildren Josiah, Xavier, Eliana & Dianna. Sister Mary Rivera, Brother’s Elias Rivera (Isela) John Rivera, her partner James Ruddick, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and several others that called her mom, auntie & Grandma Anna.
Anna enriched all our lives by bringing so much love, laughter, joy, and support to anyone she could help. She loved animals and has rescued & adopted several over the years. We cherished our time with her, and she will be forever missed.
