Anne Mae Missner White, born December 26, 1928, in Oakland, CA, died peacefully on November 3, 2023, in Front Royal, VA. She was 94 years old. Her parents were the late Dr. Frank Roy Missner and the late Dr. Eva Durgin Missner. Anna married John Robert White in 1948. They had 62 wonderful and adventurous years together. She loved the outdoors, camping, and gardening. John and she loved all things connected to nature, animals, and birds and always found time to include that in their daily activities. In her forties, Anna was able to complete a lifelong goal to become a nurse. She also was very fortunate to travel all over the United States and beyond with her husband before john passed in 2010. In 2017, she moved to Strasburg, VA from Charlottesville, VA, to be closer to her daughter.
Anna was blessed to have two children, a son, Mark M. White, who preceded her in death in 2012, and a surviving daughter, Lorna A. Walls of Strasburg, VA. Anna is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Danise White of Richmond, VA. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Tamra Pease, Holly Renes, Matthew Walls, Chad White, Dustin Walls, and Rebecca Evatt. Double blessed with eleven great grans: Dred Doody, Tristin Renes, Gabriel, Renes, Josiah Renes, Nathan Walls, Loam White, Benjamin White, Adam White, John Evatt, Henry Walls, and Theodore Walls. Anna also was able to meet her first great -great granddaughter, Brooklyn Doody, born March of 2022, and had been told recently that she was about to be blessed with yest another great-great granddaughter, due to arrive in 2024.
