SALEM – Anna Mae Sanor, age 89, of East Rochester, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Salem West Healthcare Center with family by her side. She was born January 6, 1929 in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Paul J. and Virginia (Evans) Long.

Anna was a transcriptionist at the Alliance Community Hospital for 20 years and also worked at the Salem Community Hospital for ten years where she received Volunteer of the Year Award. She was a member of The Eastern Stars and a member of the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful wife, mom and grandma, (known as Nan to the grand and great grandkids). Anna was also known in the area for her homemade pies and weekly cookie runs for the drivers of Sanor Trucking.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel R. Sanor, whom she married June 5, 1948; a son, Scott (Debbie) Sanor of East Rochester; three daughters, Deborah K. O’Brien of South Carolina, Wendy (Bob) Wagner of Salem, and Penny (Ben) DeJong of Columbiana; two sisters, Mary Duko of Leetonia and Polly Crisaffi of Austintown; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A brother, Samuel Long and a sister, Betty Brain also preceded her in death.
