Anna Mae Olds, 93, of Boise, ID, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014.
Anna Mae was born on February 20, 1921 in Buhl, ID, to parents Nels and Esther Larson. She graduated from Filer High School in 1939 and then attended St. Luke’s Nursing School in Denver, CO, graduating in 1943. As a registered nurse, Anna Mae worked at the Twin Falls, ID Clinic and Hospital for nearly 15 years.
In June of 1944, Anna Mae married Fred B. Olds of Buhl, ID. They raised three sons: Fred C. (Karen), of Pocatello, ID; Roy W. and Douglas W. (Janis), both of Boise. In June 2014, Anna Mae and Fred celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. In addition, Anna Mae has enjoyed 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren. Anna Mae is also survived by her sister, Margaret Linnea Larson of Seattle, WA.
In 1966, the Olds family moved from Twin Falls to Boise, ID where for the next 20 years Anna Mae worked in geriatric medicine at several Boise nursing and convalescent facilities. She retired in 1986.
